• Review engine workscope and teardown to optimize shop visit planning, engine operation and line maintenance. • Raise cost reduction ideas to minimizing total direct engine maintenance costs. • Review engine unserviceable parts condition versus ICA documentations and report possible technical issue headwinds. • • Work with Customer Managers to ensure that all customer specifications are up to date with master specification.• Review LRU’s costs and work at doing the proper inspection/repair when an engine is in the shop to ensure that operator will have good airplane dispatch reliability. • Investigate/report:o Create substantiation report and change request (DCR) to revise ICA documentations to eliminate or reduce unneeded repair or reduce part rejection rate.o Create business cases and create request for repair development (RRD) to develop specialize repairs to eliminate or reduce part rejection rate.o Pass ideas and support the project engineer to develop production improvement to fix technical issues and reduce the operating cost.o Develop repair procedures to reduce part rejection rate.• Follow and participate to engineering IPT’s and Repair council meeting’s to reduce operating cost.• Support Visibility creation/revision. • Support Invoice Analysis • Develop and maintain gas path parts MFA database to report part condition to engineering, condition table was define to categorize part condition and operator environments.• Provide Technical Support and shop education to MRO’s including DOF’s.• Follow engines in shop during all gates and provide recommendation to reduce shop visit cost.• Support technically Sales during contract negotiation (FMP planning).• Support engine program customer engineering.• Support technically regional airline operators when visiting the MRO.• Hands-on customization and shop workscope monitoring to minimize shop visit costs and maximize on wing time and reliability.
