Served as an active conduit between sales, planning, manufacturing, vendors, and customers to help insure an efficient coordination of customer orders, delivery dates, production schedules, and raw materials necessary to service the business in an expeditious and cost effective manner. Used and developed Excel and Access (Layout) apps to assist and streamline the planning and forecasting processes to attain optimal production and inventory efficiencies.Essential Duties performed include:• Supported operations by providing optimal use of work centers and raw material with on time launch of production work orders• Planning for higher yield below the minimum engineered scrap rate• Provided logistical analysis for on time launch of raw material and meet production schedules• Requisitioned and maintained inventories of raw material necessary to meet production demands• Reviewed & monitored production schedules, work orders, staff tables, etc., to determine personnel and material requirements/priorities• Maintained open lines of communication with department leadership and operations personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes• Revised production schedules when required due to methodology changes, labor/material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions while collaborating with management, sales, production, and engineering• Communicated with plant leadership, vendors, and customers to coordinate production or shipping activities, resolve complaints, and eliminate delays• Compiled, organized, and analyzed data• Identified and executed improvement opportunities in inventory utilization and product flow• Demonstrated high proficiency in MRP and planning system navigation/utilization• Worked with IT Departments and/or Vendors to optimize planning and scheduling systems• Worked with internal and external resources to balance production and minimize cost of through-put• Assisted in the APQP and RFQ processes.Skills acquired and used for the complex role for the above include:• Relationship building and negotiation skills• Proficiency in MRP and planning system navigation/utilization• Data Analytics• Effective self-direction skills driven by an analytical action orientated approach in a changing and multi-input work environment• In addition to my technical knowledge, I have a detailed knowledge of scheduling equipment as well as quality and logistical support issues.• Ability to develop efficient procedures and applications for Production Planning and Raw Material Inventory Management.
