His extensive experience spans across diverse sectors such as oil and gas, construction and large projects, IT/Telecommunications, IP/patent, Post M&A, and pharmaceutical, aircraft/military, hotel industry/hotel management, real estate, sales, distribution, joint-venture, and agency.In addition to his well established commercial arbitration experience, he also enjoys experience with investment arbitration disputes as Counsel and arbitrator. He is presently sitting as arbitrator in an ICSID case. Pierre-Yves Gunter is sought after for his representation of clients in appeals against arbitral awards, defending such appeals, and in the recognition and enforcement process of awards. He also often acts in commercial litigations before state courts, primarily handling cases connected to arbitration cases. Pierre-Yves Gunter serves as a distinguished member of the Teaching Staff (international arbitration) of the LL.M. International Business Law program at the University of Lausanne. He is also a Board Member of the Swiss Arbitration Center. Previously, he served as Co-Chair of the Arbitration Committee of the Section International Law and Practice of the ABA and was a Board Member of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
