I am an experienced, values-led manager with a passion for renewable energy technologies. Currently, I am driving the adoption of heat pumps and solar technology at The Fuel Effect, as a client-facing project manager. I partner with clients during their renewable energy journey, from survey and bespoke solution design through to hands-on installation.I take great pride in being a trusted advisor on the renewable energy solution best suited to a client’s needs. From point of sale through to completion of each project, I am dedicated to a quality client experience, with expectations carefully managed and any problems arising rapidly resolved.Alongside my role at The Fuel Effect, I am a part-time consultant at 5H Renewable Energy, undertaking property surveys and guiding clients on cleaner energy options and ways to make the shift away from fossil fuels. As part of my remit, I provide accurate, honest predictions on returns allowing informed decision-making.Previously I spent 14 years as MD of James Whiteside Ltd, a third generation family business serving the catering industry with food preparation products and tools. During my tenure, I defined a business vision based on quality and sustainability that led to trusted supplier status with major supermarket chains and high-end, luxury hospitality names.My role had reach across product development, quality assurance, sales, marketing, finance, HR, business administration, design and procurement. With a customer experience based on personalised service, I was able to retain a superb customer base while attracting new business. In 2021‒22 I decided to scale down the business and embark on a new career in the renewable technologies industry. I was an early adopter of green power at home and have a long-held interest in renewable energy. Since then, I’ve successfully pivoted to the sector, gaining a significant amount of knowledge in a short time.A keen advocate for the benefits of renewable energy technologies, I understand the challenges linked to mass adoption. My ability to translate the customer’s vision into a solution has been key to my career successes, and I have demonstrated my quality focus from my early days as a design apprentice to now.With a values-led, impact-driven management style and strong integrity, I thrive in rapidly changing environments.
