I joined the Bollore Group first as a financial controller. I designed and implemented an international netting center to rationalize financial flows within the 250 entities of the Group. I then joined Vincent Bolloré staff as special advisor for strategy and M&A. When the Company made a public takeover bid on Delmas-Vieljeux, the second largest sea transportation company in France, I took over the Deputy General Manager position of a widely international subsidiary, in charge of merging three teams with three different business cultures and three different IT systems. Bolloré faced a financially critical situation in 1994 regarding its debt-to-equity ratio. I was appointed as General Counsel in charge of decreasing debt and identifying sources of cash. I organized a large-scale international plan with our banks to refinance receivables and introduce new customer payment instruments which contributed significantly to the financial recovery of the company.
