My professional experience includes senior corporate roles within banking, most recently as Co-Head of Capital Resolution for RBS, a global position. Previous appointments within RBS have included focus on the Asia Pacific region, other global roles and objectives based on business growth as well as downsizing/exit. Early roles with NatWest, Banco Santander and National Bank of Canada gave me a solid grounding across Trading, Institutional Banking and Markets, and I have experience of multiple products and services.As a senior executive, I’ve built and led teams of over 1,000 across numerous geographical locations. I have been fortunate to work with high calibre colleagues and clients from some of the leading organisations in the world. My approach is very focused on execution and achievement of objectives; I’m calm and set out the vision and accountabilities clearly. I trust my team to deliver; at RBS we have achieved and, in most cases, exceeded challenging objectives in a very tough environment. Treating people fairly - staff and clients - underpins how I work, and the employee engagement scores for my areas of the business at RBS have been amongst the best in the bank.Alongside my achievements in corporate life, I have a strong entrepreneurial streak, with interests in real estate management and development, as well as new projects in app development and hospitality. I’ve also worked with Private Equity clients during my banking career, and have a keen understanding of investor priorities and requirements. I’m multi-lingual and have lived and travelled to numerous locations around the world, so am entirely comfortable in new business environments, different cultures and geographies.
