Pierre is the R&D manager for the #Wide Area Surveillance product line at HGH. As such he manages the team and its interaction with the production, client support and commercial services towards operational excellence. He is in charge of the technological roadmap and supporting the product roadmap.Previously, Pierre was the head of programs at Lerity, encompassing all operational aspects of new developments from supporting sales to developing then industrializing products. As such he built and lead a team of project managers, project procurement and system engineering and participated in reorganizing the activity while delivering multiple newly-conceived fully-qualified solutions.After his PhD in Singapore (CNRS-NTU-Thales), Pierre spent 9 years with Safran where he developed a background as a systems architect and project manager while building up his deep understanding of highly technical subjects on the full stack from physics and optics to operational systems through micro and nanofabrication techniques, embedded electronics and real-time image processing.He has collaborated with and led technical teams in both corporate and academic environments at top institutions in Europe and Asia: Supoptique, Imperial College London, Nanyang Technological University, XLIM and Safran Electronics & Defense.He has experience in proposing and managing budget and planning, product design and marketing, subcontracting, leading a consortium, managing an agile development for both hardware and software with cutting-edge algorithms.His previous endeavours include demonstrating steps towards ship automation with both a real life system and its digital twin and growing a prototyping lab that tackles demonstrators with many trending technologies from speech recognition to teleoperation.
