Co-Founder, Cto & CpoTotem Sep 2016 - Sep 2023Paris, Ile De France, FrI founded TOTEM, the store you need in your office. In 5 years we had raised 10M€ & build a team of 50+, serving hundreds of B2B customers, with 86% CAGR and 4M€ 2022 revenues. Main foundational idea was to bring joy in the workplace, and create a good vibe through meeting places where people chitchat. Doing a lot of AI-related stuff previously, I realized how lonely we can feel sometimes in this world. Always behind a screen or on social networks, we should not lose what makes us human. I previously explored this theme in my short movie "D'un mur à l'autre". TOTEM is a tech business, and innovate mostly in the RetailTech industry (software & hardware) : the team created, in 5 years, four different products. 2 mobile apps & 2 web applications. A mobile app for end-customer to pay for product (it's self-served stores), a webapp for companies to set up their store, and we automated a 1500 square meters fulfilment center with our house-build warehouse management system (mobile app for inventory, supply checks, order preparation, and webapp for supply order, product catalog, etc...). We also created a connected cart to prepare boxes of products, with weighting machine & product sizing, achieving 98% fulfillment accuracy rate. A first hardware journey for me. I learned a lot. -
Executive AdvisorShareable.Vc May 2022 - Oct 2022I helped a team of founders to kick-off Shareable, the new hub for startup and investors. I did market research, product positionning, business plan & pitch deck, and started selling, helping to secure first customers. I definitely learned to sell with this experience, which is a great skill. Also coached a handful of founders in other companies -
Co-FounderConv.Ai Apr 2016 - Sep 2016At the end of my studies at Centrale, I wanted to dive into entrepreneurship, thus I launch a startup with a fellow student. Our goal was to create AI-powered tools for customer service. We did it when chatbot started to be hype, so we focused on automating the first steps of customer service, qualifying or classifying the issue, and answering (if possible) with pre-defined FAQ-style answers. We faced several challenges. I felt that it would be a long road to create a product that fits many customers needs, because of customer service business-specificities. We would end up creating a digital chatbot agency, and that was not the initial ambition. Also, we could only sell to big companies or customer service tools, as small & medium sized company prefers human contact with their customers. I learned that go to market (and distribution strategy) is key, and that product market fit is hard. -
Data ScientistHrflow.Ai (Ex: Riminder.Net) Oct 2015 - Apr 2016Paris, FrJoined HrFlow.ai the very first year of its creation. My job was to create a tool for recruiters that would detect false informations on curriculum vitae. To do this, I first took Stanford's CS224D, Deep learning applied to Natural Language Processing. Course was hold by Richard Socher, CTO & Founder of Metamind. I learned a lot about AI during those months. I implemented a full data pipeline that would read the pdf (via OCR), engineer the deep learning features, and tried a vast range of algorithm & hyperparameters. I looked closely at state of the art research on paraphrase detection, such as "Improved Semantic Representations From Tree-Structured LSTM Networks" (https://arxiv.org/abs/1503.00075), and implemented Tree-LSTM on a production bench. I think I really learned to code with this job ! -
Business Intelligence AnalystFoodpanda Oct 2014 - May 2015Singapore, Singapore, SgMy first job in the startup & business world. I was in charge of building the Business Intelligence department of Foodpanda's brazilian headquarters in São Paulo. The company was backed by Rocket Internet, thus it was a fast-paced environment laser-focus on delivery & execution. Not bad for a first job...After 3 weeks building automated performance reports on marketing, then sales, customer service, supply & operations, I was asked by the global CEO to set up calls with each 70 other headquarters over the globe to help standardize reports into my format. Worked hands in hands with Berlin's BI division to drive it smoothly. Learned to deal with people too !A few months in, we started advertising on TV, which was quite exciting to track, as an performance analyst. I've also been introduce to investor related documentation, compiling cohort analysis, churn, cac, lifetime value to prepare board meeting. -
Co-Founder & CeoNyew Jan 2014 - Oct 2014Founded Nyew while at school, an electronic music discovery platform, based on an innovative AI-powered search by Melody, Rhythm & Harmony. One could dive into musical categories, listen to a suggested track, and then naviguate in a 3 dimensional tree where he would choose the next song by adding melody, rhythm or harmony to the previous one. Opened my eyes on two things : entrepreneurship & AI/Machine Learning. Learned that business model comes first. -
Vice President, ProductionNx Télévision Feb 2013 - Feb 2014Châtenay-Malabry, Ile-De-France, FrWelcome to the marvelous associative landscape of Ecole Centrale Paris.NX Television was the movie-making society. We would edit short films and host a weekly school TV show. As VP Production, I was specifically in charge of negotiating contracts with customers (yes, mostly old pals from the school), and driving most important movies production. Amongst other things, we won a video CV challenge (first prize), and also closed a 10k€ deal for a total of five 1'30" videos for a consultant agency. Learned to work in a collaborative way, and picked up a few hard skills in video editing. -
Research InternCea - Commissariat À L'Énergie Atomique Et Aux Énergies Alternatives Oct 2012 - Dec 2012Paris, France, FrSchool project to create a widget measuring the power consumption of a computer. Was fun. -
Research InternInserm Oct 2006 - Jun 2007Paris, 13, FrWhile at middle school, I apply to work with a biology researcher from Axel Kahn's INSERM team. We did research on HIV treatments. I did not took the biology path afterwards, but I learn how professional apply science in the real world. It was an open-minding experience.
