A dynamic leader and global senior executive specialising in operations, manufacturing, engineering and supply chain. Deep and successful experience working in the glass, pulp & paper, and concrete industries across five continents. Have contributed demonstrated value in a broad range of contexts founded upon strong technical expertise but driven by an intrinsic commitment to quality (DMAIC) and a deep appreciation of, and attention to the power of people and culture. With over twenty-five years of successful leadership experience, I have led six turn arounds at the shift, plant, regional and global level in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Most recently my focus has been with Owens-Illinois across the Asia Pacific region, leading three thousand employees across eleven glass manufacturing operations and one cullet processing facility in Australia, New Zealand, China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. I believe the foundation for achieving and sustaining success is building diverse and competent teams. Leveraging an identified strength of individualisation, I make the time to understand, how people who are different, can work together productively and achieve high levels of performance. I do this with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism. This philosophy highlights my values and illustrates how I lead. I combine this passion for people and leadership with credentials in engineering and finance (MBA) which have enabled me to deliver commercial results in roles of increased scope and responsibility.
