It has been now 13 years of struggle with war and various emergencies like earthquakes, we witnessed the paralyzing effects of fear and limited first-aid knowledge. It is hard to describe but war is as horrible as we know but we felt we can maybe make a difference. The main idea was to build and train a network of both health professionals (doctors, nurses, social workers) and locals living within the most bombed areas to rescue, educate as well as creating our own 1st aid kits. We created and implemented a standardized emergency response protocol to train the volunteers and populations. This protocol aimed to simplify their reactions during attacks, ultimately saving time in critical situations. The faster the response, the more lives could be saved through timely blood loss management.

Throughout times of war and over the years, we've developed various emotional support programs. These programs target children, adolescents, and adults in need. Additionally, we offer training for local personnel on emotional intelligence, trauma recovery, and emergency management. In 2024, our focus remains on providing emotional and psychological first aid through training and direct care with a humanistic and holistic approach to PFA teaching and to psychological support as well as creating a network of local therapists.

The war tore everything apart. People were dying, fear choked the air. It felt like the world was ending, yet even amidst the chaos, something unexpected hit us hard. We saw animals – a dog running in flames after a rocket, a cat lifeless from shrapnel – dying alongside humans. The feeling of helplessness was crushing. We built a small group of volunteers banded together. We knew we couldn't stop the war, but maybe, just maybe, we could make a difference for the forgotten souls. That's how our animal shelters started – a tiny spark of hope in the darkest of times and a lot of challenges.

Why does this humanitarian work matter so much? Because hope is a fragile thing, especially in the face of war. Delivering milk to hungry children, bringing a smile with a Christmas toy, or treating a wounded civilian – these acts are more than just gestures, they're lifelines. They're a way to show people, especially the victims, that they haven't been forgotten. It's all about communication, about building connections. Sure, it's easier to see the impact of a bandaid than the power of listening to someone's story. But those stories? They hold immense wisdom, the strength to overcome, and the ability to inspire empathy where ignorance once stood. By documenting these experiences and giving them a voice, we can educate, empower, and ultimately move humanity forward together.

We carried and are carrying many initiatives dedicated to kids, disabled and older people. Each project is a tiny spark of hope, a reminder that even in the darkest times, the human spirit can't be extinguished.

We used to get a lot of rockets around, but we persevered. To allow young people of all ages and families an access to cinema is to open a window on the world to them, to allow them to see that life is not limited to war, opens their heart, travels, Identify themselves with their heroes, regain confidence and breath a little. This is an important program when we make sense and when young people learn lessons. Despite the fear of bombings on the cinema, this was probably one of the most positive and inspiring experience, an amazing way to bring so much to people in a so short time.

We are connecting volunteers classes from schools from around the world in real time with classes in Aleppo, to open a window on the world for Syrians and another window to the world on Syria. It’s a cycle of exchanges between classes, groups (scouts), and university students. The project's goal is not solely to initiate a discussion, but also to bring together common projects and ideas, leading to a new approach to combating the war.

We are not driven by grand ambitions to operate as a global NGO or engage in mass distribution of aid packages, there are hundreds if not thousands in those fields. We extend our support with our own resources and the assistance of concerned individuals, reaching out to those in dire need, especially during challenging times and under difficult circumstances. We tried many experiences, approaches to help, sometimes it worked, sometimes not. While we've undertaken numerous initiatives, as you've witnessed along those pages, we approach our work with humility and compassion, guided by our hearts in priority, this is a modest work but which makes it’s own difference. We are trying the best we can at least.

I come from a modest family, my parents were oyster farmers and I started working with them when I was 11 years old. At this age I decided to create my first "business", so I had an appointment with the mayor of the small town where they worked, and I obtained the authorization to have a free place at the market in the summer. I presented my first (very basic) business plan which was to go door to door to collect used toys and things that people no longer needed or wanted, clean them up and sell them . During market days, I would sell baskets of items or single items organized by categories. I earned 300 francs during my best weeks, and up to 1200 francs during my best month. I think it is important to highlight our history through its roots.
