- Management of the IIT lab’s $50M wireless infrastructure including the planning and selection of new technologies for deployment - Operation, Engineering and Maintenance of the IIT’s wireless networks (CDMA2000 1xEVDO mobile network, UMTS/HSPA mobile network, SMSC, WAP, PPG, IMS, WiFi, WiFi Mesh, WiMAX, etc.).- Technical reference for the IIT Research team regarding all aspects of the wireless architecture operated by IIT.- Technical adviser of the CTO regarding the new wireless technologies and the business opportunity they offer.- Act as a technical expert during discussions with existing and potential member companies for business development.- Budget planning and engineering plan elaboration for the deployment of both 3G cellular networks CDMA2000 1X EVDO and UMTS/HSPA in Sherbrooke, Gatineau, Ottawa and Quebec.- Operation of an IMS interoperability center.- Project and Human Resources Management- Act as a technical expert during the first IMS PlugFest which took place in Italy (Turin - October 07), organized by the European Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI). My role was to oversee testing between different IMS systems by manufacturers from all over the globe, analyze results and deliver a 3GPP conformance verdict. I also participated to the writing of the ETSI IMS NNI IOP standard.- Act as a technical expert during the latest OMA (Open Mobile Alliance - January 08) TestFest which took place at IIT involving companies from all over the globe.
