I was responsible for specification, design, development and implementation of software and integration solutions using .Net (C#), Java and SQL in conjunction with Magic Products, like uniPaaS (now xpa) and iBOLT (now xpi). I supported the Sales Team with pre-sales analysis and initial solution proposals as required.An important part of the role involved the design and validation of candidate solutions to determine the optimum fit to address the stated business requirements, as well as fit into the technical architecture of the client.Typical integration implementations involved the development of business process flows between SAP, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics and legacy systems using both native interfaces as well as common technologies. A typical integration can involve employing technologies such as SQL, web services or formatted files (XML, CSV, etc.) in conjunction with the native technologies employed by the business system (BAPI, RFC, WCF, etc.).An example would be the integration of the project costing system (PRISM) with the ERP (SAP) at Anglo-American.
