At Omnitracs I lead projects leveraging data into various products and services. I've architected and built out much of our modern big data cloud infrastructure and oversee the migration of our BI reporting platform to Looker. Our team is responsible for thought leadership and at the start of the pandemic I quickly provisioned COVID19 related data as an API to our customers as Health Alerts. I also mentor grad student data science capstone projects as well as summer interns. I regularly share some of our data insights in a company blog post, and have started a bi-annual Industry Intelligence report.

MuscleSound provides muscle health assessments utilizing a cloud-based ultrasound image measurement system. MuscleSound is a technology company offering SaaS products to help athletes, enthusiasts, and health care providers measure muscle health using ultrasound. Privately held startup with 12 employees.I developed the patented algorithms the product is based on, designed other aspects of the technology platform, and acted as director of product development:- Utilized analytical tools to assist in product development.- Applied advanced image processing techniques to identify regions of interest or desired measurable characteristics.- Utilized machine learning tools to gain insights into data.- Built the reporting mechanism to present to the end user the valuable insights our tool can provide using various charting methods.- Led the new customer on-boarding process of device setup and web based training.- Led and managed all of the company's research and development efforts.- Science team member.- Major contributions to non-technical aspects of running and building a business: product planning, customer feedback and support, sales planning and support.

Lead tester with a focus on quality product delivery. Responsible for coding web services and testing each feature before it is delivered. Quality is achieved through applying the 80/20 rule, transparent product development and agile methodologies including pair programming and getting multiple sets of eyes on every line of code written.

In this role, I served as a project manager, where I communicated the scope of proposed work to be accomplished on time and within budget; provided technical support to the team, other units and subcontractors; interpreted documents and communicated related requirements; and initiated the collaboration of available resources (engineering, fabrication, administrative and facility).I also worked as a mechanical engineer, where I established the most effective engineering model to evaluate the design; decided on critical points at which to test and validate the design and parts for prototype; designed, built and documented testing equipment, procedures and processes; and managed documentation and revision control. Additionally, I worked as a manufacturing developer, where I evaluated methods for cost-effective component manufacturing, researched suppliers for compliant, cost-effective off-the-shelf components; vetted manufacturers and vendors; solicited quotes from vendors; prepared requisitions; researched and documented process and procedures; developed quality assurance procedures; developed assembly procedures; and coordinated manufacture.
