Self-managed an investigation into the effects of hypoxia and ischemia to the brain of the developing fetus. Used live sheep as primary animal model, and was responsible for all surgeries involving placental manipulation and tissue removal. Through bio-assays and radio-labeling techniques, elucidated the role of cAMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA) in vaso-constrictive and vaso-dilatory actions to allow for adequate blood and oxygen supply.
