USAID works in over 100 countries to: Promote Global Health; Support Global Stability; Provide Humanitarian Assistance; Catalyze Innovation and Partnership, and; Empower Women and Girls.USAID’s Better Access and Connectivity (BEACON) Activity project is a five-year, Php1.65-billion ($33 million), launched by the U.S. government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), on October 28, 2021, to increase digital connectivity in the Philippines. USAID’s BEACON Activity will promote economic growth through better information and communications technology (ICT), helping bridge the digital divide in the Philippines.USAID’s BEACON Objective 3 "Cybersecurity Protections Strengthened" is geared towards improving the capabilities of government to prepare and mitigate against cybersecurity threats and strengthening the cybersecurity ecosystem in the Philippines.
