I am now free to entertain new opportunities in the areas of Wireless Networking, FMC and other networking aspects.With over 25 years of networking experience, I bring a wealth of experience on all expects of networking with a strong focus on business, technology and innovation. Most recently, I founded Colubris Networks in early 2000. In addition to creating the company from the ground up, I raised the 1st round of venture capital in December 2000 and led the company as the CEO until April 2002 when I decided to focus my energy on the Chief Technology Officer role. In this role, I have led innovation in several areas of Wi-Fi.Most notably, Colubris created a number of “industry firsts”, including the 1st ever Hotspot in a Box and the 1st ever FIPS 140-2 certified Access Point (with embedded IPSec/VPN Termination capabilities). In 2004-2005 timeframe, I was instrumental in the definition of the Colubris TriPlane architecture that is now accepted as the optimal Wi-Fi infrastructure solution. Also known as “Distributed Data Forwarding”, this is now the preferred approach to fully leverage the full performance of 802.11n.As the CTO for Colubris, I travel internationally to engage with customers, prospects and partners. I am a regular presenter at industry conferences.In 2005, my work was recognized when I received the 1st ever Wireless Broadband Innovation Award for “Wireless Individual Achievement”.Specialties: As an entrepreneur, I have developed expertise with business planning, raising capital, recruiting effective teams, developing an international presence. I also leverage my in-depth knowledge of networking to develop and validate a technology and product vision.
