As a Software Development Engineer II, I expanded my impact in the organization by co-founding the monthly Alexa Everywhere Learning Series to consistently share operational excellence, system design, and post-mortems with engineering and business leaders (including VP & C-Suite attendees). I conducted 35+ technical interviews and efficiently scaled multiple customer-facing services for peak traffic events, guaranteeing 99.999% up-time at 500 transactions/sec through rigorous stress and chaos testing.I expanded AVS Device Discovery & Registration to the Amazon Mobile Shopping App, which was the first instance of Alexa setup directly in the retail application. The frontend was built using ReactNative, Redux, and globally delivered on demand via Cloudfront/S3, with a supporting serverless backend (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EC2).

As a Software Development Engineer, I expanded Frustration-Free Setup globally to Alexa Built-In 3P Devices (AVS), which enabled customers to setup Alexa on their new smart devices directly in the Alexa App (versus in the 3P party application, i.e. JBL-Harman).I was the technical lead who architected and built an embedded device library (written in C++) that facilitated local network discovery (DNS-SD & mDNS) of unregistered Alexa devices on a customer LAN and securely communicated with and registered the discovered device using a pre-authorized context (proprietary expansion on OAuth 2.0). I directly worked with the management and engineering teams of our partners including Samsung, LG, and Sonos., leading to millions of new endpoints added worldwide.
