In my role as VP Connected Fleet at Rombit, I spearheaded the transformation of our company vision into a scalable, global product suite aimed at enhancing the safety of heavy machinery operators in industries such as third-party logistics, oil & gas, and construction. I also played a pivotal role in integrating our Argentina-based Connected Worker business unit into a cohesive and efficient product team, ensuring a seamless transition and alignment with our overarching goals.

Realizing my deep-rooted love for product, I chose to transition back to the role of VP Product, where I designed and implemented our company's complete product methodology from the ground up. Shifting our team away from technology-driven design decisions and a sales-led product approach to a user-centric, data-driven and result-based approach.

In my role as Chief Technology Officer at Rombit in Antwerp, Belgium, I spearheaded the execution of our company's vision, with a strong focus on developing cutting-edge products for the Connected Worker and Smart City spaces. By leading cross-functional teams and driving product efforts, I played a key role in driving innovation and growth.

During my first run as VP Products I laid the foundation for what would later become Rombit's Connected Worker product offering. Managing a small startup within a startup was truly an exhilerating experience.

As COO at Rombit, I helped our team scale from 15 to 30 people over the course of 8 months. During this time our team scaled operations by:* Laying the foundations for the Romcore product; a PaaS product intended to expedite * Adopting the Scrum/Agile approach more fully* And switching from Digital Ocean to AWS hosting

I came to Rombit as the first (and at the time, only) project manager. My job as project manager was to bring some structure to the way our projects were managed as well as oversee day-to-day project follow-up. During my time as project manager, I was responsible for the follow-up of several projects including:* A-Sign, an IoT platform that means to evolve our use of traffic signs,* Pro Alliance, a start-up dedicated to solving congestion from a supply chain point of view,* and Vavato, an online auction house that was recently in the race to become VOKA's Start-up of the Year.

As CTO, I was responsible for outlining the vision and day-to-day follow-up of our development team. The core competences of this team of about 20 talented developers were diverse and included (among others) digital innovation, digital development (Web/Mobile) and e-mail marketing for customers that included Microsoft, Pioneer, Sony and Citibank

As Lead Online Architect, I worked as a technical consultant for challenging online and offline advertising campaigns with a strong focus on technology. In this capacity I served as a bridge between our Client Services and the Production department. My core tasks consisted of drafting functional and technical analyses, providing planning and budget estimations and managing a small team of backend developers.During my time as Lead Online Architect, I worked for several clients, including: Telenet, Microsoft, BNP Paribas Fortis and the Belgian National Lottery.

As Flash Developer, I was responsible for the development of a number of high-profile, award-winning Flash websites. Other tasks included liaising with project managers and clients.Technologies involved: AS3, Flash, Flex, AMFPHP, PHP, Red5, FMS, Papervision3D, Away3DAs a Flash developer I worked for such clients as Nokia, Microsoft, Pioneer, Telenet, Chiquita & Kipling
