• Developed and assessed Nonlinear Model Predictive Controllers (NMPCs) for path tracking of automated vehicles, capable of performing drifting manoeuvers;• Tested and validated the developed control strategies on a real vehicle demonstrator;• Created presentations and reports for the internal team and the industrial partner.Collaboration with Kineton SRL.

• Developed and experimentally assessed NMPCs for chassis control, encompassing in-wheel motor torque and active suspension control to enhance road comfort and traction control for improved road holding (EVC1000 EU project, OWHEEL EU project, EM-TECH EU project);• Tested and validated the developed control strategies on a rapid prototyping control unit or real vehicle demonstrator;• Designed MPC internal models for simulating power-split transmissions and evaluated transmission losses in hybrid vehicles;• Evaluated unscented KF for vehicle state estimation during extreme manoeuvers (EVC1000 project);• Created presentations and reports for the internal team and the industrial partner.

• Co-coordinator of the team for ‘Control of Smart Multi-agent systems Operating autonomously and Synergistically’;• Developed Kalman filters (KFs) for vehicle state estimation alongside path tracking and path platooning control strategies;• Experimentally validated and assessed the algorithms using scaled vehicles (Qcars);• Supervised a team of 8 visiting Master’s researchers;• Thesis supervisor of more than 20 BSc and MSc students.
