I have always considered curiosity as the motor of achievement. It is for this reason that, as a young student, I have always put my effort in trying to explore reality from the point of view of its driving forces, looking for the rationale.Both my Bachelor and Master of Science in Economics at Università Bocconi provided me with the proper tools to fully satisfy my intellectual disposition. On the one hand, I developed broad foundations in economic theory, especially for what concerns microeconomics-related topics such as market designs, strategic decision-making and asymmetric information. At the same time, these experiences provided me with a solid foundation in quantitative methods, so that I became familiar with data analysis and the application of econometric techniques in different fields.Thanks to my internship at the Chief Economist Team of the Directorate General of Competition of the European Commission, I developed a strong interest in the field of Competition policy and practice. This led me to join Compass Lexecon as a Research Analyst in the Milan Office. As such, I contribute to the economic analysis of high-profile antitrust and merger cases before the European Commission and other national competition authorities.During these experiences, I could learn how to approach complex economic situations and problems. First, framing them rigorously from a theoretical point of view. Then, conducting an empirical analysis to provide evidence. At the same time, they enabled me to develop both organizational and communicational skills, as well as the attention to the detail and the clarity and efficacy of exposition that are crucial in every professional career.
