After receiving a Master's in Psychology and working as a counsellor and psychologist in Estonia for a few years, I moved to sunny Malta for a change of pace in 2018. In Malta, I worked as a Customer Support Specialist for Bolt and Ceevo where I first learned about the world of risk and fraud. In summer 2020, I was hired to be part of the new KYC team in GIG - something I considered a significant first step towards finding my niche. While I relocated back to Estonia in summer 2021, I continued to work for GIG remotely before joining Finnair's Security & Fraud team in March 2022. I believe having a good eye for detail and an inclination to do "detective work" came in handy for me in the field of risk and fraud. In October 2022, I decided to try out a completely new line of work and started in my role as an Office Manager in Xolo's Tartu office. Going back to my psychology and customer support days, I thoroughly enjoy working with people and have always found great pleasure in helping others. Being a "people person", this drew me away from the world of security and fraud, and into HR. Office management has now turned out to be something I truly enjoy, as it incorporates elements of psychology and working directly with people in an office environment that would typically be associated with a desk job (something Office Managers still have to do, but not too much!).
