- HON/BMB 150 is a wet lab course on phage biology used to teach laboratory techniques such as aseptic pipetting, gel electrophoresis, and electron microscopy, among others. Responsibilities include supervising students in the lab, assisting in preparation for class, and helping troubleshoot experiments.- HON/BMB 155 is a dry lab class focused on learning genome annotation, ORF identification, BLAST analysis, and other bioinformatic techniques. Responsibilities include aiding students with observing student behavior and progress, troubleshooting computer programs, and guiding students through genome annotation. - Office hours-like sessions to foster student development and content comprehension through student lead thought. Students come to clarify topics being discussed in BMB 150 and 155, discuss laboratory and experimental strategies, and receive help with coursework of other classes.
