• Developed custom interfaces into Rome Credit Risk software. Customers were using Oracle 9 using Pentaho Data Integration Suite (ETL). Became the team expert using these tools and developed standard practice for future projects.

• Designed and developed Duke Energy’s Risk Management System called Risk2000. Risk2000 is a client/server based Risk Management System that utilizes Delphi and SQL Server 2000. Risk2000 was used world-wide and manages financial and physical portfolios, generates mark-to-market for trades out to the year 2050, calculates DER (Daily Earnings at Risk) and VaR (Value at Risk), manages all the long-term physical and financial positions of the entire organization.• Developed a multi-threaded Java application that consisted of a scalable methodology for computing several million price calculations simultaneously. Developed with JBuilder and hosted in WebLogic, this application carried the organization by performing most of the calculations within Risk2000.• Developed a .DLL using Delphi, which took advantage of the Java Native Interface (JNI) as a way to improve the calculation’s performance. System was prototyped, but never went to production.• Coordinated with internal and external auditors to provide data and implement audit recommendations to improve business and system processes and procedures.• Developed an application to create quarterly extracts for Deloitte Touche.• Developed a Retail Gas System written in Delphi.• Developed several extensions for GMS 3.0 (Gas Management System) including an enhanced Pricing interface, a Contract Admin application and an interface to Risk2000. These applications were originally done with Visual Basic, but later ported to Delphi.• Developed a Gas Management System which was later replaced by GMS 3.0.
