Co-Chair Housing Working GroupSan Francisco Bay Area Regional Prosperity Plan Jun 2014 - Jul 2015The Bay Area Regional Prosperity Plan (Prosperity Plan) is a three-year regional initiative made possible by a $5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). The grant is funded through HUD’s Sustainable Communities Partnership Program which aims to create stronger, more sustainable communities by integrating housing and jobs planning, fostering local innovation and building a clean energy economy.I serve as one of the co-chairs of the Housing Working Group (HWG). The HWG is composed of non-profit and community-based organizations, housing authority staff, and tenant right groups. The group provides oversight on the housing the workforce work plan, directing technical research and analysis, conducting additional outreach, and disseminating lessons and best practices from more than 40 pilot projects funded through the Prosperity Plan.
