About Pilar Mckay, Phd

After traveling the country, I returned right back to where I started - my hometown - to help launch exciting and innovative businesses to spur growth, excitement and craft beer. Entrepreneurial spirit is natural when you grow up right next to Letchworth State Park, where weekends are spent looking for bald eagles and waterfall rainbows. My travels helped build a career with a foundation in data and strategic planning. In addition to working agency side, I've also spent a considerable amount of time training the next generation of communication professionals at universities and colleges, designing classes that focus on real-world skills while helping students start careers grounded in data. Now that I've returned to the region, I'm ready for marketing and communication challenges that help our communities and food & agriculture businesses grow. I have experience with developing and strategic planning for legacy brands and launching new successful ones in challenging markets. If you need an optimist on your team or, at the very least, someone with statistical programming experience, I may be the person you are looking for...Past clients include Toyota Parts & Service, Whole Foods, NYSERDA, National Fuel, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Nevada State Bank, Metropolitan Water District, Los Angeles County Public Health Department, New York Cider Association, New York Corn & Soybean Growers Association, Upstate Capital Association, St. John's Health Care, Silver Lake Brewing Project, Shake on the Lake, and Wyoming County Rural Arts Initiative.Software experience: SPSS, WinCross, Qualtrics, Surveymonkey, Google Forms, DashThis, WordPress (as well as other custom CMS systems), Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and AfterEffects), Excel, Powerpoint/Google Slides, Sprout Social, MailChimp, and so many other programs...

Listed skills include Ethnography, Survey Research, Spss, Stata, and 27 others.
