In my role with Ryerson I am responsible for managing my own book of business with nearly 150 accounts in the Seattle, Spokane and Portland areas. My day to day duties consist of the following:- Field inbound requests for pricing on aluminum, Stainless steel, mild steel and other raw material and/or processing.- Make outcalls to accounts to discuss metal needs, follow up on quotes and try to convert said quotes into orders.- Log information pertaining to customer activity, converted orders and pricing feedback into the Salesforce platform.- Responsible for the tracking of all orders and providing updates to customers regarding delays and other pertinent information regarding their shipments.- Extensive use of SAP and Salesforce platforms.- Completed the Ryerson Academy, a 12 week extensive training course focused on the sales process, product knowledge and customer relations.

-Organizing our reservation list on a daily basis to ensure we do not overbook.-Extensive fleet planning to make sure we have the right vehicles for our customers.-Settling customer disputes to ensure the customer leaves completely satisfied.-Performing the full rental process including underwriting and selling optional products.-Meeting individually with my team on a weekly basis to look at their monthly performance. We look at things they are doing well but also identify an area of opportunity. We make a gameplan to address it heading into the following week.-Weekly marketing trips to our 2 big body shops to make sure we are on the same page heading into the following week.-Auditing our sales and underwriting processes to ensure our branch is maximizing our earning potential.-Providing world class customer service on every client interaction.

My duties as an MA closely resembled my duties as an MT, only I was given some new responsibilities that were more managerial. -Working alongside risk management to retrieve vehicles in possession of high risk renters.-Writing detailed insurance claims on damaged vehicles.-Marketing to corporate accounts and body shops to ensure we were exceeding expectations.-Auditing our car cleanliness multiple times per day.
