About Daniel G.
Elevator pitch:I'm a journalist turned senior public relations consultant turned airline pilot. Disciplined, socially capable and ambitious. The (slightly) longer version:I started out as a journalist, mainly covering computer games and the digital entertainment industry. After five years I got the opportunity to hop on over the fence and work from within the gaming industry - as opposed to covering it from the outside. For three years I worked as the sole public relations manager of PlayStation in Sweden and then joined the ranks of Activision to handle their PR in the nordic market, handling strong IP´s such as Skylanders and Call of Duty. Being a curious person, in 2015 I decided to cultivate my lifelong interest in aviation beyond keeping a huge model of an Airbus A380 on my desk at work. Hence I started flight training and challenged myself to the point where I two years later had a commercial license and consequently was allowed to fly big, commercial jets. Which I started doing later that same year and kept doing for two years. The year 2020 not only brought with it career disruption in the form of Covid-19 - I also became a father for the first time. This monumental change in turn brought with it a healthy dose of contemplation and a new perspective on life. Fortunately, moving back to the PR sphere was a smooth process and I worked with a number of exciting clients for two years until eventually returning to the skies by the end of summer 2022.
Listed skills include Video Games, Public Relations, Copywriting, Social Media Marketing, and 13 others.
