The Flight Academy is a Platinum Cirrus Training Center established in 2002. As a Cirrus TCI/CFI-I, I travel around the country to provide flight instruction in different generations of SR Series Cirrus aircraft, with Garmin Perspective Touch+, Perspective+, Perspective, and Avidyne Entegra avionics.Instructing in complex airspace, mountainous terrain, concentrated student training areas, and IFR icing conditions. 1250+ hours of Cirrus experience.Experienced flying in all regions in the contiguous United States, and Alaska.

NASA’s Office of the Chief Technologist (OCT) coordinated Agency-level technology strategy jointly with the NASA Mission Directorates and field centers. OCT’s Strategic Technology Integration team developed policy, requirements, and systems for NASA’s technology development and innovation initiatives.While interning with the Strategic Technology Integration team, I:• Helped develop “NEXUS,” an internal app designed to support employees in navigating the NASA Technology Ecosystem and connect innovators with opportunities• Conducted think tanks with stakeholders (Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Mission Directorate representatives, Center Chief & Deputy Chief Technologists, and others) throughout the Agency to integrate Research & Technology programs, informative tech resources, and learning materials into the application• Consulted with early-career (EC) employees to identify new content to include, collected input on the app’s look and feel, and compiled suggestions to help other EC employees and new innovators access and engage in technology programs and activities (Received 300+ recommendations from stakeholders/ECs, implemented 200 during internship)• Evaluated research tools and intelligence services for OCT's new "Easy-to-Read Market Analysis" initiative to generate market and trend insights in technical areas of interest and leverage emerging solutionsOf 47 applicants, two interns were selected for this unique opportunity.In November 2021, NASA restructured OCT and formed the Office of Technology, Policy, and Strategy (OTPS).
