Extended Reality has been identified as an important interface for the cyber-physical systems that characterise the smart industries (industry 4.0). But what is XR and how should we implement this emerging technology in our businesses?In an effort to answer these questions, I have designed a workshop series using the latest MR headset on the market. I use this workshop to engage with small business owners and together we identify possible use case scenario’s and value propositions.

Their team designs innovative products on a full service basis, from concept and idea generation up engineering and production start. I had a temporary position to help with project management and engineering to bring a product-line of EV charging points up to speed and in to production.

As a Strategic concept engineer, I was tasked with researching the feasibility of different trends and techniques in the agricultural industry. I wrote whitepapers and business cases about subjects such as vertical farming, energy harvesting, micro farming and hydro- and aeroponic systems. Working closely with our partners in industry, research and education.

Codema is specialised in the design and construction of high-endhorticultural systems globally. As project engineer I oversaw andwas responsible for the technical aspects of design, manufacturing andinstallation. Together with an incredible team of engineers, embeddedprogrammers and construction workers, we have realised the mostadvanced and fully automated cultivation systems all over the globe. Myprojects were mainly situated in northern America and China.

Energy storage is one of the main hurdles in the big transition to a sustainable economy and society. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to work with InCharge in designing and engineering the PowerIsland. A solar energy storage solution for residential use. Testing and building the technical concepts, design and production of the casing, writing the embedded software. I did it all at InCharge. This is the place where I developed my knowledge of software and electronics design.

What could be more Dutch than riding a bicycle? And for decades, the products from Widek are the staple for any cyclist. From bells to handles, you name it. All designed and manufactured (!) in Holland in a small village next to Rotterdam. I had the persiflage to graduate at Widek, working on a totally new bicycle seat for children for their brand Qibbel.
