About Pim Hogeweg

When I was 14 I sold my DJ business to set up a marketing agency. Curious about how design and consumer psychology worked together to influence purchasing behaviour, I focused on helping businesses improve the marketing of their product or service.Being a fast self-learner, I continued to “build the plane and fly the plane” for four years. I spent hours reading books and blogs to deepen my understanding of consumer behaviour to improve business outcomes, then applied it directly to client projects. Armed with years of hands-on marketing experience and theory, I couldn’t wait to learn about the science behind it. Studying Communication Science at university was logically the next step. After graduating, I joined an Amsterdam-based startup studio as their sole Marketing “guru”. Our marketing strategies didn’t go unnoticed and as a result I was asked to speak at events, facilitate workshops, and eventually I turned our marketing tactics into a service for startups.After almost four years, I decided to turn the tide 180 degrees and I moved to Australia to explore the possibilities of the country and work in different industries like mining and agriculture. Four years down under turned out to be a gold mine of new skills and insights about the world and myself.Now back in NL, I am using my curiosity, enthusiasm, empathy and entrepreneurial skills to drive sustainable growth for Berenschot and aim for a better future.Onwards!
