Within the ING Netherlands IT organization I’ve been working in various roles and projects.My last project was as the lead project manager for the biggest IT project for the upcoming years for our department.In the first half of 2017 I was ad interim department manager for managing our DevOps department (120 FTE), being (partly) responsible for both the change and run capabilities. My main focus was to keep the organization running as efficient as possible, while making steps towards a more Agile culture using the Spotify engineering model as a reference.In 2016 I transferred to the Cards department to help setting up the new Agile DevOps way of working by doing various activities in the role of IT Chapterlead, being a combination of operational line manager, a technical project lead and a coach for a number of engineers. Finally when I started within the ING my role was team manager for one of the legacy applications on an integrated system. I was responsible for two Agile DevOps teams within the IT organization. My main responsibilities were human resource management (15 FTE, mixture of internals and contractors), doing mid and long term strategy for both the team and the applications, and executing various risk mitigation based activities.The teams I was responsible for were working on a number of applications which need to be highly available (99.99%) and were in the core of the domestic payment systems. The applications were vital for the correct processing of most types of payment transactions and were capable of handling up to 800 transactions per second. When I started the teams were recently transitioned from a classical project driven organization to a full Agile way of working. The main challenges I was working on with the teams were to create a true Agile mindset and to upgrade the various (development) pipelines to a Continuous Delivery type of software development (one touch deployments).

I started working for Cimsolutions in the summer of 2010 as a Project Lead and Technical Specialist. Cimsolutions provides ICT consulting services on time & materials basis for Project Management, Functional and Technical Design, System and Software Development, Testing and various other fields. After graduating I started working as a Software Engineer at a Dutch video games company called Engine Software. I've worked on various projects (games) and did a wide number of tasks like: artificial intelligence, tool creating, user interfaces and gameplay development.After a couple of years I've moved up to Team and Project Lead and was responsible for the following:* Creation of the Project Plan;* Managing the budget and resource allocation;* Managing internal teams* Managing external teams by means of subcontracting and outsourcing;* Evaluating personal and project members;* Determining the acceptance criteria with the customer;As a Project Lead I've implemented elements of PRINCE2 and Agile Scrum in the existing organization, like PID documentation, configuration and change management, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and review meetings. I've introduced these projects in phases with a clear distinction between project preparation, development and project completion. I've applied competencies from IPMA for managing the professionals and held personal and project evaluations.
