Controlling the structural organization of a range of soft materials (polymers, supramolecular materials, nanoparticles, emulsions) from micrometer to centimeter length scales using liquid crystal templates in combination with specific surface coatings and external fields (electric and magnetic).Promotor: Prof. dr. Alan Rowan. Co-promotor and daily supervisor: Dr. Paul Kouwer.

Participation in the research project of Dr. W.L. Noorduin at the department of 'Solid State Chemistry' of Prof. Dr. E. Vlieg. The main direction of the research project has been the development of auto-catalytic deracemization techniques through crystallization.

Participation in a research project considering the study of the growth of graphene on silicon carbide using synchrotron radiation under supervision of Dr. Vedran Vonk and Dr. Veijo Hönkimaki.

Working full-time with 6 students on the cultural programming on the Radboud University Nijmegen. Main activities include arranging, executing, presenting (theme-based) film evenings and other cultural events (music, theatre, visual art, festivals and more) as well as actively communicating the weekly programming of Cultuur op de Campus.

Responsible for the acquisition of sponsors and grants for the Studentenkamerfestival Nijmegen 2010, the biggest cultural student festival in the province of Gelderland.
