As an associate professor at Lamar University, I have been teaching and researching in the field of mechanical engineering for over eight years. I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a Kaufman Teaching Certificate from MIT. My research focuses on the process of upgrading heavy crude oil using supercritical water, a complex multiphase flow and heat transfer phenomenon with interphase diffusion, phase change and highly non-ideal multicomponent mass transfer. I have developed advanced modeling and simulation tools using programming, MATLAB, and computer simulations to study the effects of various operating parameters and design factors on the performance and efficiency of this process. I have published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented my findings at international conferences. I am passionate about advancing the knowledge and innovation in the field of energy and environmental engineering, and I enjoy collaborating with other researchers and industry partners to solve real-world problems. I also strive to inspire and mentor the next generation of engineers by providing high-quality education and training to my students.
