I actively lead the sharing of international experience and good practice and influence the… Show more In this role, I represent IOGP at various regional seas convention meetings and regulatory meetings, to speak on behalf of the industry. I manage and drive the activities of the IOGP Decommissioning Committee- comprising of a global network of Decommissioning Experts from O&G Organization and National Industry Associations - towards the committee's vision of being the ‘global voice of decommissioning’. I actively lead the sharing of international experience and good practice and influence the development of decommissioning policy worldwide through regulatory advocacy activities and stakeholder engagement. I support organisations including United Nation Environmental Programme, Society of Petroleum Engineer- Decommissioning and other such organisation as speaker, session chairs and committee member. Recent projects includes development of Asset Retirement Obligation guidelines, Habitat Retention Guide, Pipeline briefing report, Asset decommissioned in situ studies, etc. In the Regulatory and Advocacy theme, IOGP participates in meetings of OSPAR, Barcelona, IMO London Convention and London Protocol and other such regional seas conventions; aligning member companies positions to such regulatory bodies.
