I am currently an Associate Professor at Yale University . My major research interest focus on understanding the mechanism of resistance to target therapy and developing novel therapeutic approaches to overcome resistance. One specific interest of my research is understanding how lineage plasticity of tumor cells confers resistance to current hormone therapy in prostate cancer. My research experiences covers multiply fields of oncology and pathogenesis, including the function of oncogenic miRNAs, mechanism of resistance to target therapies, development of novel biomarker and therapeutic targets, conducting shRNA and CRISPR library screening et al.

Assistant ProfessorUt Southwestern Medical Center Mar 2018 - Feb 2024Dallas/Fort Worth AreaTwo of the biggest challenges in treating advanced prostate cancer are varying responses and acquired resistance to antiandrogen therapy. We seek to understand the mechanisms of antiandrogen resistance, to identify novel biomarkers, and to develop therapeutic approaches to prevent or overcome resistance. -
Research Associate In Charles L. Sawyers LaboratoryMemorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Jul 2013 - Feb 2018New York CityI am now a research fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Charles Sawyers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. I am currently studying the molecular mechanism of antiandrogen resistance and developing novel therapuetic targets, using a combined approach of shRNA and CRISPR library screening. My research also focus on studying the link between cancer lineage plasticity/epigenetic regulation and resistance to target therapy. -
Graduate StudentWeill Cornell Medicine Oct 2007 - Jun 2013Greater New York City AreaI have been investigating the function of the miR-17~92 microRNA cluster in Myc-driven lymphomas and prostate carcinomas during my Ph.D. training in Dr. Andrea Ventura's lab at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The other main focus of my research is developing the potential usage of microRNAs as therapeutic target and diagnostic marker in B cell lymphoma and prostate carcinomas. -
