Founder and CEO of the PIT Policy Lab, C Minds' first spinout. As a tech policy entrepreneur, Cristina works to advance people-centered technological development and technology governance in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). She is currently part of an international team conducting a Digital Ecosystem Country Assessment (DECA) in the Dominican Republic for USAID. Cristina holds a Master in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a B.A. in International Relations from Tec de Monterrey. She is an inaugural Fellow of Virginia Tech Institute for Leadership in Technology, a Responsible AI Fellow by the Stimson Center and Microsoft, and a GovTech LATAM Fellow by the InterAmerican Development Bank. In 2023, she was recognized as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Leader of the Year by Women in AI North America. That same year the "Equitable AI: Guanajuato Use Case" implemented locally by PIT Policy Lab won the Equals in Tech Award by ITU, UN Women, and GSMA.
