I am currently employed as a Data Engineering analyst at Optum, a renowned health care company that is at the forefront of providing innovative solutions aimed at improving health outcomes and reducing costs. My role at Optum involves designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures that are both scalable and high-performance, ensuring that the organization’s data needs are met effectively and efficiently.In order to understand the data requirements and design data solutions that meet these needs, I actively collaborate with cross-functional teams. These teams include data scientists, business analysts, and fellow software engineers. This collaboration allows us to pool our expertise and create the most effective data solutions possible.One of my key responsibilities is to ensure data quality and consistency across different data sources. This involves implementing data governance policies that maintain data security and privacy, a crucial aspect in today’s data-driven world. I take pride in some of my recent achievements which include the development and optimization of ETL processes, data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration techniques. I have accomplished these using a variety of tools and languages such as SQL, Python,Spark,Kafka,PySpark,Datastage,Airflow,Unix,Azure cloud and SQL databases.My educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Silchar. Here, I learned the fundamentals of programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering. To further enhance my skills and knowledge in this domain, I have completed several courses and certifications on big data technologies.
