· Managing and expanding Qualcomm´s IP portfolio and IP filings within the EU and CEE region.· Supervising and coordinating external legal counsels in all IP litigation matters within various European jurisdictions.· Adapting and implementing IP enforcement and brand protection strategies within the EU and CEE markets.· Providing legal guidance in licensing and settlement negotiations with potential licensing candidates and IP infringing parties. · Ensuring that all licensing and enforcement activities are compliant with European anti-competition and anti-trust laws. · Analyzing and benchmarking of legal issues related to intellectual property and technology licensing, e.g. SEP licensing, FRAND commitment, patent hold-out, open source and standards.· Advocating Qualcomm´s position regarding licensing policies and regulatory issues towards Standards bodies and EU governmental institutions (e.g. ETSI, 3GPP, European Commission).

· Providing in-house legal counseling services within the LMS team about issues related to compliance audits in the software industry, e.g. German data protection law, copyright and civil law, IP litigation, preliminary injunctions and relevant court decisions.· Drafting, coordinating and executing collaboration guidelines for Oracle LMS stipulating governance models and escalation matrixes how and when to engage Oracle Legal and external legal counsels in case of legal escalations and disputes.· Providing legal assistance in executing and conducting software compliance audits at customers of Oracle.· Negotiating, drafting and closing of Oracle software license agreements (OLSA) as well as other relevant agreements based on audit findings.· Analyzing license entitlements, deployment practices and utilization of Oracle software.

One-Red is a newly established company which continues to administer the global technology licensing and compliance programs of Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. (“Philips”). The licensing and compliance programs include the various optical storage formats (i.e. CD, DVD and BluRay) for PC and software applications, discs replication and consumer electronic devices.

· Planning, implementing and executing the Philips optical storage (CD, DVD and Blu-ray) patent licensing and brand protection program in the EMEA region including UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the CEE states such as Russia, Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Bulgaria.· Analyzing and benchmarking of legal issues related to intellectual property (patents, trademarks and designs), e.g. anti-counterfeit, anti-trust, unfair competition, industrial standards, compulsory license.· Coordinating and supervising external law firms acting as international "litigation-teams" in IP litigation court proceedings.· Coordinating and executing Royalty Compliance Audits with external audit firms (the "Big Four").· Drafting, negotiating and closing of significant license contracts as well as settlement agreements with leading companies in the consumer electronics and DVD disc replicating industry.· Coordinating and supervising forensic investigations and market sweeps by private investigators and brand protection team.· Responsible for the border detention program in the assigned territories according to applicable EU Customs Regulations (including seizures, customs training, market monitoring).· Coordinating and executing IP enforcement and criminal proceedings on German trade shows (CeBIT in Hanover and IFA in Berlin) in cooperation with the court bailiff and the district attorney.· Lecturing regular seminars about EU Intellectual Property Law at the Renmin University in Beijing, China and at the Tsinghua University in Shenzhen, China.

· Responsible for the MP3-Patent Compliance Audit Program of a major client in the field of consumer electronics in Korea, China and Hong-Kong.· Planning and organizing of audits including negotiating and closing of significant audit settlements with leading companies in the consumer electronics industry (MP3 and DVB-set top box manfacturers). · Market intelligence services and forensic investigations for various U.S. patent licensing administrators.
