Thesis: Passive Microwave Devices Based on Magnetic and Non-Magnetic Methodologies•Completed the Northeastern University LEADERs Fellow Program developed by Northeastern's PhD Network and the Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership. •Passed the Qualifying Exam in April of 2018•Investigated and developed novel electromagnetic solutions and rare-earth substitutes (ferrites) for RF devices targeted towards the military and commercial communication (5G) sectors. •Presented novel results and pitch proposals to ITAR compliant stakeholders such as government agencies and commercial defense contractors.•Modeled, analyzed and reported s-parameters of RF materials and devices by utilizing, MATLAB, Python NumPy, Origin, HFSS, Maxwell FEA, ADS, and the Office Suite. •Designed RF devices in the 100 MHz to 50 GHz range such as tunable patch antennas, frequency selective radomes and frequency selective limiters using HFSS and ADS.•Tested RF devices using VNA, oscilloscopes, frequency generators, and DMM. •Engineered novel magneto-ceramic ferrite (BaM and Yig) thin films using various deposition techniques for integration with semiconductors such as Si, GaN, and sapphire for MMIC. •Previously conducted research of RF devices using MEMS technologies at the Northeastern Sensors & Nano Systems Laboratory. •Investigated methods on developing a magnetic free radio frequency circulator and isolator based on MEMS resonators for the DARPA Signal Processing at RF (SPAR) program. •Developed new MEMS devices such as filters and transformers by conducting Finite Element Analysis using COMSOL and circuit simulations using ADS and Cadence. •Tested RF devices for IIP3, P1dB, bandwidth, Q-factor, non-reciprocity, loss and delay.•Designed and fabricated MEMS devices using CMOS processes such as electron beam photolithography, thin film deposition, and chemical etching for RF and IoT applications.

•Researched, designed, and developed a novel pressure sensor.•Explored, planned, and conducted thermal, stress, and bonding experiments on ceramicsand metals for high temperature and high stress environments.•Designed printed circuit boards for control of fiber coupled laser diodes with OrCAD.•Supervised and mentored two interns, who have successfully completed assigned projectsin designing testing devices of novel pressure sensor.

•Aided in the research, design, and development of next generation pressure sensors. •Used MATLAB to compute and analyze large data sets from various experiments. •Automated experiments using MATLAB & LabVIEW. •Conducted finite element analysis on various diaphragms.

•Modified through the use of Visual Studio/C++ an existing GUI capable of tracking temperature readings in order to obtain pressure readings for a passive RFID mode pressure sensor.•Investigated and developed a prototype RFID pressure sensor kit using a programmable ultra-low power micro-controller. •Designed and created a breakout board using OrCAD PCB suite for a multi-channel and high speed data acquisition system. •Developed and implemented an automated measurement testing station by programming a Keithley 2700 and 7703 switch card interfaced with LabVIEW through a GPIB serial communication port and controlled by SCPI syntax.

•Troubleshooted various user software and hardware issues by creating, monitoring and resolving user notifications through a real-time IT Management tool. •Assisted Stevens Information Technology Department develop and implement new technologies for Stevens virtual environment system.

•Applied AutoCAD tools in both mechanical and electrical disciplines by assisting in designing mechanical hardware to support the development of a laser measuring device, improving manufacturing space by analyzing and modifying different space layouts, and updating electrical schematics used for an imaging inspection system.•Conducted a product yield study using a 3-D Modeling state of the art measurement program which aided in determining the final rolled throughput yield needed for COGS, Standard Cost, and Profit Margin calculations.•Improved operator productivity by simplifying machinery and human interaction through new PLC updates. •Developed and executed in line with FDA regulation requirements commissioning checklists and IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for equipment and systems such as HVAC and REES monitoring system.•Interacted with various technical consultants, construction and equipment contractors, facilities, manufacturing services, validation, quality, and safety departments to commission new product manufacturing cleanroom space, as well as the expansion of a warehouse facility.
