    Thesis: Passive Microwave Devices Based on Magnetic and Non-Magnetic Methodologies•Completed the Northeastern University LEADERs Fellow Program developed by Northeastern's PhD Network and the Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership. •Passed the Qualifying Exam in April of 2018•Investigated and developed novel electromagnetic solutions and rare-earth substitutes (ferrites) for RF devices targeted towards the military and commercial communication (5G) sectors. •Presented novel results and pitch proposals to ITAR compliant stakeholders such as government agencies and commercial defense contractors.•Modeled, analyzed and reported s-parameters of RF materials and devices by utilizing, MATLAB, Python NumPy, Origin, HFSS, Maxwell FEA, ADS, and the Office Suite. •Designed RF devices in the 100 MHz to 50 GHz range such as tunable patch antennas, frequency selective radomes and frequency selective limiters using HFSS and ADS.•Tested RF devices using VNA, oscilloscopes, frequency generators, and DMM. •Engineered novel magneto-ceramic ferrite (BaM and Yig) thin films using various deposition techniques for integration with semiconductors such as Si, GaN, and sapphire for MMIC. •Previously conducted research of RF devices using MEMS technologies at the Northeastern Sensors & Nano Systems Laboratory. •Investigated methods on developing a magnetic free radio frequency circulator and isolator based on MEMS resonators for the DARPA Signal Processing at RF (SPAR) program. •Developed new MEMS devices such as filters and transformers by conducting Finite Element Analysis using COMSOL and circuit simulations using ADS and Cadence. •Tested RF devices for IIP3, P1dB, bandwidth, Q-factor, non-reciprocity, loss and delay.•Designed and fabricated MEMS devices using CMOS processes such as electron beam photolithography, thin film deposition, and chemical etching for RF and IoT applications.
