Recruited and built a high caliber RD&E team and enabled the development of key technologies generating revenues of more than 400 million dollars. Lead research projects from concept to scale up to field trials and commercialization of new organic and inorganic molecules for various Nalco applications: paper dry strength, paper strength aids, paper retention and drainage aids, coagulants for potable water, inorganic flocculants for potable water, flocculants for wastewater and mining, reverse emulsion breakers for oil sands, polymer diverters for enhanced oil recovery, additives for personal care products.

Performed failure analysis (surface and bulk) for product complaints. Carried out compositional analysis and performance testing of competitor products. Developed new test method for the degradation of surfactant and designed new surfactant molecules. Wrote technical reports and gave technical presentations within the company.
