Biggest project was the renewing of VTTs web services, including the web-pages, web-content management systems and the contents but most importantly the related business processes.I also lead the VTT Young Professionals which is a development project / Network aimed to speed up the learning curve of young researchers and to help them build up their much needed internal, national and international networks as well as educate them on EU policies and procedures.Acted also as Chairman/Board Member of YEAR (Young European Associated researchers) which is a network of young researcher networks in various European RTOs. It works to develop genuine european co-operation between member research organisations through networking and education of the young researchers as well as advancing researcher mobility. Really hectic working period for me, but also extremely satisfying. Matured my skills as a Project Manager on really complex environments. Also learned a lot about being a good leader that gets more out of people while at the same time making the work fun for all those envolved.

Worked in several customer projects mostly in the field of web portals and also lead a group of consultants providing continuous service to customers. Work also contained sales tasks and the developement of Capgeminis content management know-how and the international collaboration in that field.I learned a lot about how a consulting house works as well as the customer - supplier relationships, but also that to really advance all the ideas in my head, I need to be on the customer side.

First did my Masters Thesis at the Media research team (1.1.2005 - 31.5.2005) and then moved to the Data Administration unit to continue the work as System Specialist (1.6.2005 - 4.3.2008)Work I did was all about enhancing scientists collaborative working by designing systems like the intranet, work spaces, social media and innovation platforms. It included also the change management of related processes and pushing the internal adoption of those new systems.I learned a lot on how a single person can affect the performance of a big organisation and how the different people and opinions are more together than apart.

I wrote product reviews from time to time for Helsinki Media Oy (now 'Sanoma Oy') Tietokone and Mikrobitti Magazines. Also maintained the Mikrobitti magazines MBnet Hintaseuranta service for a while.I am a techie to the core and working as a freelancer at the Sanoma computer magazines gave me the opportunity to get the first feels for many new technologies and gadgets. Writing articles also taught me a lot about technical writing and how to cope with having much to say but being Limited to few words.

Designing and coding of the ViaFM real estate information system.Worked alongside my studies and some months more some less depending on need and time available.Here I learned to respect the coders. I also realised that it's not meant for me in the long run. I loved to work on the logic of software as well as the code itself, but I wasn't really cut out for making typing error free code. I came to hate hunting for that one character mistake that prevented the whole program from working.

Various task with the developement and adoption process of a new mobile reporting and time management system for doctors and pharmaceutical representatives, as well as developement of the involved CRM system. Worked also as a technical support for the systems.This job introduced me into the life of mobile solutions. I learned how beeing able to work from your phone and saving just a little time here and there can mean a big deal when multiplied by the work force.

Managed the project of renewing www.tietokone.fi site as a lead developer/project manager.The site can still be found from https://web.archive.org/web/20030212085937/http://www.tietokone.fi/This Project shaped me a lot into what I am now. I realized that as much as I have those exciting innovations in my head, I can't get enough of them done on my own, but that by leading (not managing) a team I could actually get more of my beautiful ideas to see the sunlight.

Launch and developement of Agile PDM (product data management software).Work was fulltime during summer and part time the rest of the year.This job was during the time when my studies were at the hardest and getting to work and doing stuff I already knew how to do was very refreshing. As much as I enjoy and need to learn new stuff all the time it's still good to be able to switch from learning into using your skills every now and then.

Developing the web offerings of Mikrobitti magazine. Worked on questions around how to move the paper magazine to the web and what extra services could the web offer to subscribers vs non-subscribers.Work was fulltime during summer and occasional the rest of the year.As my first real job this gave me most of all the tools to cope with the reality of work life versus just dabbling on freetime. I learned how important it is to integrate yourself as part of the workforce to get help and also give it when needed and not stumble alone with your problems.
