I am the owner of Starr Rail LLC, a third-party logistics company specializing in rail with operations in Texas, Ohio, Arkansas, and Alabama. I am also an US Army Engineer Colonel in the US Army Reserve as the Commanding Officer of the 208th DLD, headquartered at Fort Carson, CO. My background includes a blend of manufacturing, business creation and third-party logistics solutions. I am outstanding at quickly sizing up a situation, develop a strategy to manage it, and then implementing a solution that address the top and bottom line. Some highlights:In my role as Vice President of Operations - Transport & Rail at HWH, I was responsible for financial management, operations management, strategic planning, business development, and account management. During my tenure, I was able to create a new market for last mile transport solutions, and develop a completely new revenue stream with rail on/off boarding transload services in Paris, TX and Malvern, AR. My time at HWH is represented by $65 million in revenue, over 3,000 railcar load increase from 600, 20,000 truckloads from 1/3 that volume and $10 million in annual revenue for multiple years to come. My clients included Nestle Water, Campbell Soup, Vulcan Materials, Genesee & Wyoming, Idaho Lumber, West Frazier Lumber, Deacero Steel, Caddo River Lumber, Reynolds and many others. At Analytical Sensors, I started as a Sales Rep. when the company had revenues below $2 million. I was promoted to President of ASI after completing my MBA and focused on strategy for the US division and Shanghai division. I spent significant periods of time visiting clients, partners and manufacturing sites around the world with customers including Danaher, Hach Company, Thermo Fisher, YSI, Eureka, Vernier, Mettler Toledo, Oakton, Hanna, In-Situ, Anton Paar, Hach Lange, Hydrolab, Radiometer, Polymetron and others. I am also a 25-year veteran US Army Reserve Engineer Officer (12A) with 2 combat tours.
