I have enjoyed an interesting and varied career; most notably I have extensive experience working for a number of national newspapers: The Times, The Mirror, The People, The Daily Star Sunday and The Daily Mail. In my current capacity as a freelance I have also worked on What Hi-Fi and Four Four Two magazines at Haymarket Publications, The Rugby Paper, The Football Paper and Late Tackle for Greenways Publications and on a regular basis for Reed Business Information with whom I have travelled worldwide. This experience has been primarily designing news, features and sports pagesIn addition to this I have recently passed (with distinction) a BAPLA-accredited picture research course at the London School of Publishing. I have extensive experience on InDesign, Quark and Photoshop (on both Mac and PC) and I have also worked on a number of in-house picture browsers, libraries and Content Management Systems.Having worked for national newspapers I am well aware of the need for speed, accuracy and creativity and am also hard-working, organised and used to working to tight deadlines. My freelancing career has meant that I am comfortable working for all kinds of publications and I find it easy to move into new environments and pick up new software packages. I work well in a team and I am confident that I would transition easily anywhere.
