Completed my 14 month apprenticeship then stayed for a season before going abroad to work with P&O Edge.

My telephony based role at firstsource involved using quick initiative to resolve customer queries efficiently whilst also maintaining a helpful and positive attitude. This also was a very IT based role where it was essential to be able to accurately input data to a high standard which gave me the opportunity to up-skill myself hugely during my year at firstsource. There were large responsibilities and sometimes stressful situations due to the nature of the role as I was first point contact for a well known bank, but with the help of the training I received and personal SMART targets I set myself- I was able to develop my interpersonal skills, communication skills and also continue to meet set targets as an essential worker during the 2020 lockdown.

At schuh I worked as a sales assistant in a shoe shop. Day-to-day involved being on shop floor greeting and serving customers of all ages. I received till training and would regularly help to cash up on an evening shift. I also received training to fit children’s shoes so I was able to do so efficiently and correctly whilst being friendly and warm. In addition to serving customers on the shop floor I would also carry out manual tasks in the stockroom such as unloading, counting, and organising stock and just helping in general with maintaining tidyness and order. I really enjoyed interacting with customers and received a lot of positive feedback about my service and received recognition for winning various incentives set by the company.
