Counsel
CurrentAdvises non-profit clients, including educational and cultural institutions, on a variety of governance matters, including risk management, handbooks, bylaws review and other compliance issues. Conducts trainings for Boards and Executive Directors/Heads of School regarding fiduciary duties and best practices in Board governance. Provides counsel to the Firm’s education clients on a wide array of issues, crafts and implements policies and practices for the School community, and guides clients through internal investigations, responses to allegations of misconduct, and student litigation. Represents corporate and education clients on a broad range of employment matters involving federal, state, and local labor and employment laws including employment disputes, claims of discrimination, regulatory inquiries, harassment and wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, whistleblowing, drafting and negotiating employment and severance agreements, litigation, and internal investigations.
