As Operations Director, I lead on the development and delivery of a transformational project at the famous Goonhilly Earth Station. I manage our partners and suppliers and drive our commercial contracting to help ensure targets are met. Our focus on the upgrading of our iconic site at Goonhilly will deliver benefits to the UK Space sector and create significant employment and outreach opportunities.

Whilst on BT's Sustainability Exec Leadership Team, I developed and managed opportunities designed to deliver an ambitious corporate strategy. I owned commercial, legal & regulatory responsibility for energy/environment projects and managed; virtual & direct multi-disciplinary teams, personal & team budgets & external suppliers. I owned & delivered sustainability based knowledge transfer, business development & commercial negotiations, customer & supplier engagement and in parallel was on BT's South West Regional Board.

I managed teams of 15+ and virtual resource. I acted as lead negotiator on major commercial contracts owning commercial & legal responsibility. Further responsibilities required me: To recognise and develop opportunities for sustainable business; To optimise resources for effective service delivery; To ensure service excellence; To evaluate risk and apply sound commercial judgement; To develop relationships with key stakeholders; To understand customer needs ; To manage multiple complex projects & to work closely with fellow senior managers & Board.In parallel I headed Training & Development for the CL&R division which required engaging clients to understand development needs, adapt opportunities to suit & ensure targets were met. I promoted knowledge sharing, managed personal & team budgets and managed external suppliers.
