TransferWise is a mission driven start-up with a goal to make money really and truly borderless. How we use our own money shouldn’t be subject to hidden fees and unnecessary obstructions; sending money cross borders should be convenient, fast and cheap. We try to make it happen for the whole world and I was responsible in making sure our customers in Europe get the best possible product and experience.

LHV is a start-up minded bank focusing on removing friction from everyday banking services. I joined LHV to improve their e-channels (main focus for a bank with only two physical branches), but soon discovered that in a bank that employs 10x less people than competitors, but aims to offer 10x better services and products, I had a lot more to offer. In addition to leading the development of e-services (external and internal) my focus was on making sure each and every product is taking full advantage of virtues and clever tweaks new technologies can offer. I also lead an internal program to replace outdated siloed organisation with more agile and user focused product organisation.

I joined Estonia’s biggest software development house Webmedia (now known as Nortal) as a project manager for digital marketing and web development projects. I discovered early on that my real passion and strengths lie in solving problems for any kind of users and customers. Based on that I took on a wider role as business analyst for various development projects our teams were working on. To bring more user centric focus to our development projects I set up and managed a separate User Experience team.
