Senior Electrical Engineer
Current• Conduct detailed reviews of test procedures, and test reports to ensure compliance to technical specifications requirements.• Serve as an engineering liaison and provided troubleshooting and technical to the Navy technical community, OEMs, suppliers, and manufacturers. • Responsible for identifying specialized test equipment and infrastructure requirements for the development and operation of a high-power circuit breaker test laboratory. • Develop, review, and validate testing and design requirements for low and medium voltage AC and DC circuit breakers and switchgear used on board US Navy ships and submarines.• Participated in the development Navy technical specifications for high power circuit breakers, and other sensitive electronic equipment.• Supported OEMs regarding electrical, electronic, and electromechanical component obsolescence, and performed research for mitigating manufacturing and design risks by specifying alternate replacement components.• Review technical design drawings and software documentation for various electronic or electromechanical assemblies to ensure their accuracy and requirements compliance.• Developed detailed knowledge of MIL-DTL-917, MIL-DTL-17587, MIL-DTL-17361, MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-167, MID-DTL-461, MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-1399, and MIL-DTL-901 military specifications.
