Researching, designing and planning itineraries and shore excursions (ocean and river cruising). Negotiating rates and collating costs whilst monitoring budgets and pricing excursions and land tours. Contracting local agents; booking and arranging services and maintaining agent relationships to ensure smooth operation of shore excursions and land extensions. Ensuring all tours comply with company health and safety regulations and insurance criteria. Producing pre-cruise passenger documentation including tailor made cruise books as well as writing brochure copy, web copy and proof-reading brochures and all passenger documentation requiring precise and accurate attention to detail. All pre-cruise aspects of operating a shore excursion programme including loading information onto the in house booking system, monitoring bookings and liaising with all internal departments as well as directly with the ships' company. Travelling as ‘Excursions Manager’ to oversee and operate excursions on board involving face to face customer service and dealing directly with any passenger queries and complaints. All post cruise administration including invoicing, accounts work and co-ordinating all operational information and feedback from excursions and land tours. Collating all visa and vaccination requirements using various external resources.
