About Abner Pitinga

I was born in Porto Alegre but lived in the interior of the state in the city of Butiá. I grew up running across the field, played in the woods, and until a certain age, I wanted to be a farmer. But in 1992 I took a computer course with XT computers, those with green monitors and 5¼ disks. In this course, I learned MS-DOS 5.0 and from there everything changed, I entered the world of technology. In 1995 I already had my computer and in 1996 I was already programming.Between 1996 and 1998 I took a technical course in data processing where I graduated as the top student. In 2000 I entered the Computer Science Course at UFRGS, one of the best universities in the country. I graduated in 2005 receiving the Academic Award for my performance during the course. Then I did a specialization in Software Engineering at the same University.I was a professor of computer courses before entering college. I was a researcher, I worked with machine learning, bioinformatics, protein annotation, and multi-agent systems.I started working in the private sector in 2004 programming in Java and I continue in this line until today, following the evolution of the language and the various frameworks and projects based on Java over the years.But technology is not my only interest. I like photography, movies and series, playing video games, and riding a motorcycle. We can debate about Nikon vs Canon, Playstation vs Xbox, Honda vs Kawasaki, but don't ask me to choose between "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" as that would be impossible.I am picky about everything I do. Either something is done well or it is not done. This characteristic helped me a lot over the years because it made me a reliable professional. There would be no doubt that I would deliver the work that would be proposed and that I would deliver it with quality.I am also an economical person, I do not like wasting time or money. And I also take it to my professional side. The job has to be done well, but within the limits of a budget, it has to be useful to your client and the client has to believe it as much as you do.I like to work as a team and especially when we have different opinions. It's not funny to have a lot of people by your side who think the same way as you. It doesn't help you grow. If you don't like a good debate, having your opinions questioned and analyzed, don't ask me to talk. Because I love a good exchange of arguments and the growth that this brings in knowledge.
